Like most teenagers growing up the notion of anything to do with the opposite sex was met with a mixture of horror and hidden curiosity.
I remember finding my first issue of Playboy in an old garden shed, sneaking it home and upstairs under my jumper and reading it hidden under the bedsheets with the help of a torch. Despite the obvious titillation of seeing various hot women in all their naked glory I found myself more fascinated by the explicit stories and readers letters.
Years later, when I was about 16 or so, I came across a publication called "Victorian Erotica: Stories from a bygone age." It was through reading this A5 sized 64 page paperback that my interest in literary erotica was founded.
Especially one story.

Victorian Erotica at its Best! The Pearl was the leading erotic publication of the Victorian Age. This legendary magazine first appeared in London in July, 1897.
It lasted for a short, but glorious eighteen months, and then vanished--a victim of its own underground status, for income could never catch up with costs. During its year and a half of publication, The Pearl, serialized six novels that have earned the status of classics in the field of erotic literature.
The magazine also featured short stories and verse celebrating the sensual pleasures and the pursuit of lovemaking in all its myriad forms.
Among the pearls of erotic literature to be found in The Pearl are "Lady Pokingham, or They All Do It," "Sally's Mistake," "The Marriage Morn," "The Sultan's Reverie," and the fabled, "Miss Coote's Confession."
Sizzler Classic Editions will be reprinting The Pearl complete and unabridged, with three of the original issues of this scandalous, titillating publication in each eBook edition.

The Life and Adventures of Miss Fanny Hill.
The author, John Cleland, and his publisher were both arrested in November 1749, taken to court and charged with "corrupting the King's subjects." Cleland renounced his novel and it was withdrawn from sale.
However, as the book became popular, pirate editions appeared. In particular, an episode was interpolated into the book depicting homosexuality between men, which Fanny observes through a chink in the wall.
Cleland published an expurgated version of the book in March 1750, but was nevertheless prosecuted for that, too, although the charges were subsequently dropped.
Some historians, such as J. H. Plumb, have hypothesised that the prosecution was actually caused by the pirate edition containing the "sodomy" scene.
In the 19th century, copies of the book were sold "underground", and it was not until 1963, after the failure of the British obscenity trial of Lady Chatterley's Lover in 1960 that Mayflower Books, with Gareth Powell as Managing Director, published an unexpurgated paperback version of Fanny Hill.

Obscure Sexual Terms.

One of the challenges when writing sexual fiction is to come up with new ways to say old things. Whilst "Fuck" is as earthy and excitingly vulgar as it gets, there are other descriptive terms for the act such as; shag, bonk, bang, the harvey wallbanger, knee-trembler, sausage and mash (don't ask) and loads more..
As ever the erotic internet is a treasure trove of the weird and wacky, and I thought it'd be fun to list a few of my favourites here. More outrageous suggestions are always welcomed via the comment form at the end of this article.
Angry Dragon
Immediately after you blow your load in a girl's mouth, smack the back of her head and make it come out her nose. When she gets up she'll look like an angry dragon.
Arabian Goggles
A "seldom-seen" maneuver when you put your testicles over her eye sockets while getting head. (Picture it: ass on forehead) It may be anatomically impossible, but what the fuck else is new.
The Bait N' Tackle
The sailors used this one in the old Navy days. Before you go off for a long, lonely voyage, get yourself a tall jar and fill it completely with earthworms. When you get lonely, open the jar and fuck away. The earthworms will provide some slithery stimulation, and your protein load will keep them nicely fed. Gone fishing!
